Annual General Body Meeting 2026 — President's Message

The first Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Rayagada Chamber of Commerce was held on 31 July 2026 at Lions Club, Rayagada. The President shares his message reflecting on the success of the meeting and important operational guidelines for members.

Dear Esteemed Members of the Rayagada Chamber of Commerce,

First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make our first Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) a grand success. It was a wonderful milestone for us.

I am incredibly pleased to share that we had a very useful interactive session among our members. We received excellent suggestions and highly valuable information that will undoubtedly guide RCC to greater heights. Thank you to everyone who actively participated and voiced their insights.

1. A Strict Appeal for Punctuality:

While the scheduled meeting time was set for the evening 6:00 PM, a significant number of members arrived late, between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Delaying the start of proceedings compromises the schedule and affects the productivity of the entire house. For our next meeting, I kindly request all members to make a sincere effort to be strictly on time. Respecting the clock allows us to respect each other's valuable business hours.

2. Accountability Regarding Chamber Funds:

For the AGM, we received official attendance confirmations from 120 members. Based on these numbers, the committee arranged full seating and catering.

Unfortunately, the final turnout did not match the commitments: Only 70 members attended the meeting. Only 50 members stayed for dinner. As a direct result, high-quality food prepared for 70 people went completely to waste.

Beyond the unfortunate wastage of food, we must remember that these arrangements were paid for using Chamber money. Every rupee in the RCC treasury belongs to you — our hard-working members. Wasting collective funds due to inaccurate attendance counts hurts our organisation's financial health and goes against our core values as responsible business owners.

Moving Forward Together:

In the future, please confirm your attendance only if you are absolutely certain you can attend. If an unavoidable emergency arises after you have confirmed, please inform our General Secretary in advance so we can adjust our catering numbers and save our Chamber's hard-earned funds.

Let us work together to ensure that our resources and our time are used powerfully for the growth of our trade and community.

Thank you for your understanding, your excellent inputs, and your continued support.

Warm Regards, President Rayagada Chamber of Commerce
